She got married for the first time at the age of 20 to record producer Damon Thomas in 2000. The marriage ended 2004 with Kardashian claiming he physically and mentally abused her. 
She met Ray J after the divorce, while she worked as a stylist for his sister Brandy. Their relationship lasted for about three years after a sex tape of them was leaked in February 2007.
